Happy 2007!

Our transAtlantic website is now being totally redesigned with many new innovative features and updates that will be in place by the beginning of next month.

We will be having regular new columns written by journalists, academics and policymakers from cities across Europe and the United States.

We will be having online Point/Counterpoint forums discussing the major transatlantic topics of the day from Iraq to the German presidency of the EU to the upcoming French presidential election to the two new members of the EU to trade disputes to NATO's continuing role in Afghanistan.

We will be introducing new interviews with authors of newly published books on transatlantic relations, American foreign policy, transatlantic trade, business and sports.

TransAtlantic will be publishing book reviews on all types of new books. From politics to business to the arts and sports and current trends on both sides of the Atlantic we will be the place to come to find what is new in the book world.

We hope to be able to include your comments on our website as we look forward to you sending us emails with your opinions on our articles, interviews and discussions.

If you have article ideas or something you are interested in contributing please contact me at rguttman@jhu.edu.

We welcome your input if you have original ideas to share with us to make our revised transAtlantic website be more informative for you.

Our new transAtlantic website will now replace our magazine.  We are no longer publishing the hard copy of transAtlantic.  Our last issue published was our May/June, 2006 copy featuring new energy sources.

We welcome all of our magazine subscribers to our new website.  And, we welcome interested new readers looking for the most up to date and informative information on current transatlantic relations.

We look forward to sharing our new transAtlantic website with you in 2007 and beyond.

For anyone interested I will be teaching a course on American foreign policy towards Europe and the European Union and European foreign policy at our Johns Hopkins SAIS campus in Bologna, Italy this summer for two weeks.  If you would like more information on the course feel free to contact me.
